So Lent is upon us again. For the second year I'm going to give up chocolate, which for me is a real sacrifice. Last year I lost some weight though (I, of course regained it eventually) so maybe it will be worth it. Wish me luck! Rick is giving up soda which will be really hard for him but I know he can do it. I've already cut way back on soda but I do have it when we go out or should I say when we go thru, as in drive-thru because we don't seem to go to real restaurants very much anymore. Aahh the joys of being parents & being broke. Definitely worth it though!
Changing the subject, Rick's cousin gave us a swing set for Michael & Rick got it put together this weekend. He sanded the whole thing down & stained it, it looks so nice and Michael loves it! He wants to be outside constantly so he can slide & swing. He's never had much for outside toys so we're so grateful to have this swing.
Rick & I bought a Wii as a combo Anniversary/Christmas gift to ourselves & we love it. Our favorite is golf. So when we got our tax refund we bought a Wii Fit Plus & it's so awesome! You really get a workout but you have fun also. I've already lost a couple of pounds according to it but I'm not entirely sure how accurate it is. Maybe by not eating chocolate for the next six weeks will kick start the weight loss. I've also started writing down everything I eat so I hold myself accountable.
Maybe when some of you see me next time I'll be a little thinner-ha!
